TheVintageRacer.com
History was my favourite subject at university. I always loved immersing myself in days gone by, studying people, places, events that shaped our times and lives. I think Dave Zortman, the editor of TheVintageRacer.com gets that fascination with the past too. He offers us the history of motor racing in all its glory.
"TVR is an online magazine dedicated to all the legendary drivers and vintage race machines of yesteryear. From the dirt and asphalt oval tracks, road courses, drag strips and every other kind of track that our heroes pushed the limits of speed, come the magnificent vintage racers that we dedicate this website to.
Simply put, TVR is in a magazine type format, also dedicated to the preservation of all types of motor racing history. To achieve this, TVR has two main goals. First, to provide a non-commercial presence on the Internet where anyone who shares an interest in motor racing history can share his or her knowledge with others with the same interests. Secondly, everything submitted to TVR will be permanently preserved in a digital format and placed in The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing's library for posterity."
TheVintageRacer.com has pretty much everything. From Sprint cars to Indy cars to motorcycles to Funny cars to NASCAR… There are picture albums and satellite photos, stories and articles, racers' memories, and much, much more. Any true motor racing enthusiast must visit this site.
